March 12 and 13, 2009: Moonlight Snowshoe Hiking

On both Thursday and Friday, we took a group of students to Moose Alp to enjoy an evening of snowshoe hiking!

The evening began with an apertief of fruit wine in the Moose Alp Lounge. We then took an hour and a half hike, along the way marvling at the sky full of stars, and eagerly waiting for the moon to rise over the mountians. Midway though the hike we paused to catch our breath and enjoyed a cup of hot wine.

Once we arrieved back at the Moose Alp Lounge everyone sat down to enjoy each others company, and a hot pot of fondue.

A Lovely and unforgettable evening!

March 7, 2009: Geneva Motor Show and City Trip

Students woke early on Saturday morning to catch the bus to the Geneva Motor Show. Those who attended had the option to just go to the city for the day, or to go to the city and attend the Motor Show.

The morning bus ride was rather quiet as students caught up on the extra z's that they had missed out on the night before. As soon as the bus pulled up to the Motor Show excitement began to build! Students scattered and spent the day marveling at the newest and most unusual of cars.

For the majority of students, the day was finished after they took a trip into Geneva for sightseeing, shopping and a bite to eat. A long but eventful and enjoyable day!

March 6, 2009: Pirate Party

Student Committee got in touch with their more rebellious side and hosted a Pirates of the Caribbean party on Friday evening!

The theme of the evening was enhanced by a special pirate bar complete with cocktails made with Jack Sparrows favorite Rum, face paint, and pirate apparel which was distributed to those who attended this festivity.

The night was completed with a Pirate Sausage Sale, satiating the hungry pirates at 3 in the morning. The party was great fun!

March 4, 2009: BIB vs. PGD Basketball Tournement

Wednesday evening a crowd was drawn to sports night. It was the first of several planned BIB vs. PGD sports competitions. This night it was basketball!

The brackets were set up with teams of six, two preliminary rounds, and then a final. Both teams spent all week anxiously awaiting and preparing for this fun night Both teams were even supported by respective cheer leading squads!

After almost three hours of fierce competition, the PGD team pulled ahead and won! They cannot get to comfortable with their title though... the BIB team will be practicing for next time!
